Come and join our brilliant team as a member of Oakwood Minions, our newest racing club!
Their bright yellow and blue colours have already been in the winners' enclosure on the Flat and over jumps, courtesy of loveable little gelding Summerlea (below) and lightly raced staying chaser Major Ridge.
Major Ridge looks on a good mark and is set for a fruitful campaign over fences, while Summerlea is now enjoying a well deserved retirement and has been replaced by the very lightly raced former Irish trained hurdler Ajabindejaw.
Membership of Oakwood Minions costs £80 per month, or just £20 per week, and you'll receive a number of benefits:
• An owner’s badge whenever one of your horses runs, giving you access to the owners and trainers facilities for the full day
• The opportunity to join us in the parade ring before and after your horses run. Here you will get to talk to the trainer, the jockey, and you will be the first to get the post-race reactions
• Stable visits
• A chance to see your horses exercising on the gallops
• Regular email updates

Major Ridge, or George as he's more commonly known, joined us in late 2016 on the recommendation of a couple of the jockeys who'd previously ridden him (no names named until he wins a big race!) and he wasted little time in making an impact, leading all the way to land a competitive 3m1f handicap chase under Joe Colliver at Catterick on his third start.
Things didn't really go to plan after that as he fell four out in a better race at Carlisle when bang in contention, before three more non completions, but he's had the summer off and is now raring to go again. He doesn't have many miles on the clock and we think there's much better to come from him yet.
