WE ARE ON THE FLAT AND OVER THE JUMPS ON MONDAY.

We have one runner over hurdles at Perth in the afternoon, on what is currently described as good ground, and one in the evening on the Tapeta at Newcastle, which is forecast as standard.

At Perth the three year old filly Expert Lady will make her hurdles debut in the juvenile hurdle at 2.30.pm, over two miles, where she will be partnered by Craig Nicol. Expert Lady has had four starts on the flat since making her debut in June, where she has looked green, with all of those starts being over seven furlongs, or an extended seven furlongs. On Monday she takes on four rivals, and receives the 7lb filly's allowance.

Irv who was a dual winner at York back in 2019, will have his 47th start, when contesting the 10 furlongs 0-55 handicap at 5.30.pm, with Aiden Brookes, who has won on three of his last five rides at 50/1, 66/1, and 9/2, retaining the ride. Irv is yet to place in any of his five previous runs on the all weather, but he hasn't been beaten far in a couple of those events. The handicapper has relented a little, and he is now 2lb lower than when going down by just a head at Nottingham in July.
