The going at the time of writing for Thirsk on Monday is currently good to soft, soft in places.
Odd Venture was a comfortable winner at Musselburgh on his penultimate start, but at Catterick, when last seen four weeks ago, he pulled far too hard, and was a beaten horse from before two out. Aiden Brookes who was on board at Musselburgh that day, is back in the saddle when Odd Venture goes to post for the 1.50.pm, which is a 0-52 apprentice handicap, over one mile and four furlongs. The trip and going are fine, but he is slightly up in the weights since that Musselburgh success.
