TWO TO NEWCASTLE ON SATURDAY.

We send two up the A1 to Newcastle on Saturday where the going on the hurdles course is currently described as good.

Since arriving from Ireland in June A Cheap Thrill has run on six occasions over hurdles and fences, and is yet to get competitive. His mark has now dropped by 21lb, and he will also be running on a sounder surface than of late, which could make a difference. A Cheap Thrill goes to post for the 12.30.pm, which is a 0-100 handicap hurdle over the extended two miles, with Emma Smith-Chaston on board for the first time.

The ground is definitely an unknown for our other runner Singapore Trip, who in 33 starts in France has never run in going that hasn't had soft in the description. He made his stable debut for us at Wetherby five weeks ago in heavy ground, and in a higher grade than this, and after finishing in eighth place the handicapper had dropped him 4lb. Singapore Trip runs at 2.15.pm, in the 0-110 handicap hurdle, over two miles and four furlongs, with the champion jockey Brian Hughes retaining the ride.
