If it's Champion Hurdle day at Cheltenham, then it's always Sedgefield as well, where the going at the time of writing is soft.
Milajess ran her best race for us since arriving from Ireland, on her penultimate start at Musselburgh, when finishing third in a first time visor. She wasn't quite as good when finishing fourth last time at Catterick, with the visor retained, but on that penultimate start, and on her second at Clonmel in May of last year, she has suggested that there is a race in her. She runs at 2.30.pm, in the 0-95 novices handicap hurdle, over the extended two miles and three furlongs, with Emma Smith-Chaston taking the ride.
Getaway Jewel is more than capable on his day, but is ground dependant up to a point. He has been placed on soft and heavy, but his overall form suggests that you get the best out of him on good ground. There is no reason to think that given the right conditions that he wont be competitive again, as he is now back down to his last winning mark of 92. He runs at 3.10.pm, in the 0-100 handicap chase, over two miles and one furlong, with Connor O'Farrell in the saddle.
