The going for Kelso on Sunday is currently describes as good to soft, good in places.
Both of our runners will go head to head at 4.35.pm, where they will face six further rivals, in the 0-100 handicap chase, over two miles and seven furlongs.
Grand Du Nord has had a stop and start career, and now returns to make his chase debut after 336 days off the track. Grand Du Nord was a bumper winner on his third start back in 2021, and has also finished second on three occasions over hurdles, but it is over fences where we should see the best of him. He will be ridden by his regular jockey Conor O'Farrell.
Dark Duomo is our other representative in the race. In his final race over hurdles for his previous yard, he produced his stand out piece of form, when finishing runner up from an 11lb higher mark than now, but in six starts since arriving at the yard, including four over fences, and two over hurdles, he has yet to reproduce that form. This will be the fastest ground he has contested on for us, and as always he will be partnered by Emma Smith-Chaston.
