Wetherby stage their first flat meeting of the season on Sunday, where the going at the time of writing is good, good to firm in places, and they are watering.
Creative Mojo will make her stable debut for us in the 2.40.pm, a 0-65 handicap over a mile, which has attracted a maximum field of 16. Creative Mojo ran well in her first three handicap attempts in Ireland last season, before badly losing her way on her last two starts in September, and October. Her opening British mark of 61 looks about right on what she has achieved so far, but she does need to bounce back. She has drawn against the rail in stall one, and our stable apprentice Aiden Brookes will take the ride.
Our other runner is Mister McArthur at 3.10.pm, a novice stakes over seven furlongs. Mister McArthur runs in the same colours as the much missed quality performer Becky The Thatcher, and the Cheltenham Festival winner Mister Mcgoldrick. He can also boast two winning full brothers, and one winning full sister, over the jumps, and on the flat. Mister McArthur looked badly in need of experience on stable debut at Catterick in a bumper in February, and this race will bring him on further, Billy Garritty will take the ride.
