We have two runners at Carlisle on Wednesday afternoon, where the going is currently described as good.
Milltown Lily is first up at 3.50.pm, in the 0-60 handicap, over one mile and three furlongs, where she will be partnered by Aiden Brookes. Milltown Lily who will be wearing cheek pieces for the first time, along with her regular tongue tie, was a respectable third at Hamilton when last seen 18 days ago, when making most of the running, until weakening from over one out. In this bigger field she will get a bit more cover, and a repeat of her second in this corresponding race last year would see her clearly in the mix.
Carnival Zain showed the benefit of racing in calmer waters last time ar Redcar by finishing a close up fourth, after being left a little short of room at the business end, for which he has been dropped a further 1lb to 73, which is now 13lb below his last winning mark. The first time cheek pieces he wore last time are retained, and he will once again be partnered by Aiden Brookes, for this 0-80 handicap at 5.30.pm, over very nearly seven furlongs.
