TRAC & HALPHA SOLEIL CHASE THE BIG PRIZE.

enquiries0700

We are doubly represented in the £30,000 Monet's Garden, Go North' series final handicap chase at Carlisle on Sunday, where the current going is good.

Our duo will go head to head against a further 11 rivals at 3.55.pm, over two and a half miles. Trac was the winner of last seasons £30,000 'One Man' series final race in heavy ground over two miles, and will race here from the same mark of 108. In his three starts since that memorable day he has failed to fire, but he has now had wind surgery which should help greatly. Trac can act on good ground, but does come into his own with plenty of cut underfoot, he will be ridden by Craig Nicol, who has been on board once previously.

Halpha Soleil has come back to form just at the right time. After four below par efforts over fences he stepped up considerably at Hexham 10 days ago when staying on into second, a half length off the winner under Emma Smith-Chaston, who retains the ride. Halpha Soleil was raised 3lb for that run, but unfortunately is 5lb out of the weights, so he is in fact 8lb higher than last time, but back on the mark he raced off on his seasonal debut last December. He will wear cheek pieces for the first time here.
