THREE RUNNERS ON THURSDAY.

We send one to Doncaster over the jumps, where the going is currently described as good, and we also have two on the flat in the evening at Newcastle.

Monty Nevett will make his stable debut at 4.25.pm, in the 0-100 conditional jockeys handicap hurdle, over the extended two miles, with Emma Smith-Chaston taking the ride. Monty Nevett has raced on seven occasions to date, with three coming in bumpers, and the other four over hurdles, with his stand out piece of form coming on good ground at Newcastle in a novices hurdle last May, earning him his current mark of 97.

At Newcastle Sparkle In His Eye will go to post for the 5.05.pm, which is a 0-65 handicap, over 10 furlongs, where he will be reunited with Aiden Brookes, who has won on him on five previous occasions. Sparkle In His Eye who ran another honest race at this track last time, when finishing a close up fourth, now moves in to unknown territory, as he steps up to one mile and two furlongs for the first time since his three year old days.

Art Of Romance is another experimenting with different trips, when he drops down to seven furlongs, in the 0-60 handicap, at 5.35.pm, with Aiden Brookes retaining the ride. Art Of Romance is lightly raced, and will be having his fourth start for us, after five runs for his previous yard. Art Of Romance clearly didn't stay the extended 12 furlongs at this track last time, and this step back in trip could be more to his liking.
