THREE RUNNERS ON SATURDAY.

We send one up to Hexham for their afternoon meeting, where the going at the time of writing is good, good to soft in places, and we will be doubly represented on the flat in the evening at Thirsk, where the going is currently good, good to firm in places.

Enfin Phil runs his best races when able to dominate, and has won from the front in two of his last five starts. He won on Boxing Day at Sedgefield, but was never travelling at Catterick on his latest start in January. His mark of 114 appears to be about right, and the trip and going will suit. The race is at 3.05.pm, a 0-120 handicap hurdle over two miles and four furlongs with his usual jockey Alain Cawley in the saddle.

Over at Thirsk the flat bred King Of Unicorns has his third start on the level at 6.35.pm, in a one mile novices stakes where Jack Garritty will ride him for the first time. King Of Unicorns has run with credit in two similar events recently at Newcastle and Redcar, and wouldn't have to find two much improvement to win this competitive race, but his draw in stall 13 leaves him with extra work to do, and whatever the outcome here, he looks set for a productive season.

Myboymax doesn't know how to not give his best, so it is disappointing to see the handicapper raise him 1lb for giving his all at Catterick last time when finishing second. He goes to post for the 8.05.pm, a 0-80 handicap over his preferred distance of 12 furlongs, where he will be re-united with Aiden Brookes who is back from injury, and his 7lb claim will be a big help as, Aiden won on him twice last season, and also finished placed on him on a further five occasions.
