We have three representatives at Wetherby on Tuesday afternoon where the going is currently good to soft, soft in places, with the chances of it drying out further.
First up at 2.01.pm, is Brickadank who will contest a two miles and three furlongs novice's hurdle with Becky Smith back on board. Brickadank has contested 12 competitive handicap hurdles, finishing in the places on four occasions since he last encountered novice company, and it will be a major surprise if he doesn't find one or two of these too good, On the plus side he will be the most experienced horse in the race, and the less competitive nature of the race numbers wise, could do his confidence good.
Great Raffles is next up at 4.56.pm, in Division 2 of the 0-100 novices' handicap hurdle over three miles, where Alain Cawley takes the ride. Great Raffles finally showed his first real signs of ability over hurdles at Wetherby 34 days ago when keeping on over the extended two miles and three furlongs to finish third in heavy ground. What he has to do now is back that up on a faster surface, and over an extra four furlongs.
Our final runner on the card is the four year old gelding Teremondous who makes his racecourse debut in the bumper at 5.31.pm, over two miles with Conor O'Farrell taking the ride. His Dam only raced twice, back in 2016 in Ireland, when finishing down the field in two bumpers, and Teremondous will be her first racecourse representative. The Dam is by the high class National Hunt sire Beneficial, and Teremondous' sire Gamut is also a good source for potential jumpers.
