We take two to Catterick for their flat meeting where the going is currently good to firm, and one to Uttoxeter where the going is currently described as good, both tracks are watering.
We are doubly represented in the first at Catterick at 1.45.pm, which is a 0-55 handicap for Amateur Jockeys who have not ridden three winners. Burnage Boy remains a maiden but has run respectively on each of his last two runs, both on the flat, and more recently over the jumps at Cartmel, but for whatever reason he lacks that extra gear when push comes to shove. He will be partnered by Charlie Boddy who has had two previous rides over jumps, and this will be his first ever flat ride under rules.
Our other runner in the race is Heresmax who in two runs at two, and another two runs as a three year old, has failed to make any impact to date, he was last seen a little over a year ago when finishing last of 14 in a handicap at Hamilton. He will be partnered by Jack Power who is having his first ever ride under rules, and we wish both the lads, Charlie and Jack the very best of luck.
We also send the five year old mare Elena De La Vega down to Uttoxeter where she makes her hurdles debut at 2.28.pm, she will face five rivals in the extended one mile and seven furlongs mares only novices hurdle, with Connor O'Farrell taking the ride. Elena De La Vega has looked limited in a bumper, and five flat starts to date, including being well beaten at Beverley last time off a mark of 48. She now tries hurdles to see if that is what she needs to get her competitive.
