THE RUTLAND REBEL AND FIFTYSHADESARESDEV OUR RUNNERS ON MONDAY.

We have declared two for Pontefract on Monday evening where the going is currently good to firm, good in places.

The Rutland Rebel returns from a 193 day break when he goes to post for the 8.30.pm, a 0-75 two miles and one furlong handicap, where he will be partnered by Billy Garritty who has already won on him twice previously. The Rutland Rebel appears to stay forever, and in two previous attempts in these marathon events he has finished runner up on both occasions, he is also a course winner over 10 furlongs. The Rutland Rebel will also have no problem with the ground, but he may need this first run back.

Fiftyshadesofresdev did his connections proud when finishing second at York 16 days ago, confirming that he has definitely trained on from the promising form he showed as a two year old last year. The race at York was over seven furlongs, and he now steps back up to a mile which is a big plus, but because of how well he ran at York he has paid the price with a 5lb hike in the weights. Fiftyshadesofresdev is lightly raced and is still on the upgrade, so there is every chance he can defy the rise. The race is 0-75 handicap at 9.0.pm, with Joanna Mason retaining the ride.

Good luck to the connections, Ryder Sugden, and Resdev.
