We have one runner at Catterick on Wednesday, where the going is currently described as good, good to firm in places.
Stellarmasterpiece arrived from Poland (yes Poland) in the spring of last year, and how the handicapper managed to work out a handicap mark for her, rated on her 11 races at Sluzewiec in the Polish capital, is beyond me. The good news was she got a mark of 55 which proved to be on the generous side, as after finishing third over this course and distance, she then won over this course and distance. His last flat run was in the Ladies Derby at Ripon where she finished third from a 2lb higher mark, the same mark as now.
Stellarmasterpiece has been kept busy over the winter having had four runs over hurdles where she failed to get competitive. She should receive a good looking handicap mark for that, which when she gets her act together over jumps will come in very useful. She is a proven performer on the flat and a repeat of last summers form will see her go close here. Stellarmasterpiece runs at 3.13.pm, in the 0-65 handicap, over one mile and four furlongs, with Aiden Brookes who won on her last season, back in the saddle.
