Sparkle In His Eye who was a very rare runner for us down at Kempton Park got his nose in front on Monday afternoon.
Sparkle In His Eye was winning for the third time, and the first in seven starts since joining us in the spring of last year. After suffering a shoulder injury back in May, he has been given all the time he needs to come back to full fitness. Coming out of the plum draw of stall 1, Aiden Brookes dictated the pace, and in what was a tremendous front running ride from our stable apprentice, he timed things just right when kicking for home from around two furlongs out, and holding on well to win by a nose.
