SCHIEHALLION MUNRO DECLARED FOR THE FESTIVAL.

At the age of nine years old Schiehallion Munro is in the form of his life. With just 19 previous starts behind him, of which he has won seven times, including five of his 12 chases, he couldn't come in to the biggest race in his life in any better shape.

Schiehallion Munro will contest the 'Craft Irish Plate Co. Handicap Chase' over the extended two and a half miles at 4.10.pm, on Thursday at Cheltenham, with Conor O'Farrell who has been on board for all his three previous starts this season in the saddle. Schiehallion Munro has won both his last two starts at Wetherby, and will now race from his highest mark yet of 145, and in order to win this he would have to run a new personal best. The predicted good to soft, soft in places going will be okay, and this is his trip, where he will take on 23 opponents.

As long as he comes back safe and sound to fight another day, anything else will be a bonus. Schiehallion Munro has earned the right to run in this prestigious event, and hopefully he will provide those connected with him with a wonderful memory.
