We have one runner on day one of the prestigious York 'Dante' meeting on Wednesday, when Piecederesistance goes to post for the final race at 5.15.pm, in the 0-85 handicap over the extended one one mile and three furlongs, with Billy Garritty taking the ride. The going for day one is currently described as good.
Piecederesistance is stepping up in trip by a furlong more than he has ever run before on the flat, and there is every chance he will see it out. He was a winner under Billy Garritty from this mark at Pontefract last July, and on his seasonal return at that track last month, he was travelling easily to a furlong and a half out, when lack of a recent run took it's toll and he faded. As you would expect for York, this is a very competitive, but he is the highest rated horse in the race.
