We have one declared runner on Sunday at Uttoxeter, but the chances of it going ahead look odds against at the time of writing, as the going is currently heavy, with all the chases being already abandoned, and they are inspecting at Midday on Saturday.
If it gets the go ahead then Penpal will run at 3.10.pm, in the 0-100 handicap hurdle, over the extended one mile and seven furlongs, with Alice Stevens on board for the first time. Penpan who was last seen winning from a 6lb lower mark than now back in May, was returning from a year off the track, and was having his first run since a wind operation, so he obviously goes well fresh. The race that day was on good ground, but he has winning form in much softer conditions, from his days when trained in France.
