We have two runners tomorrow at Catterick, where the going at the time of writing is good, good to soft in places, and also a runner on the all weather at Newcastle.
At Catterick, Beat The Edge made a very encouraging stable debut at Sedgefield 32 days ago when finishing second from a much reduced mark of 79, (he has been as high as 95) for which he has been raised 1lb. Beat The Edge is the winner of one race from 27 starts under rules, but he has finished runner up on six occasions. He runs at 12.25.pm, in the 0-100 conditional jockeys handicap chase, over two miles and three furlongs, with Emma Smith-Chaston taking over in the saddle.
Donny's Fortune is he winner of two point to points, and since arriving at the yard he has ran twice in maiden hurdles, finishing down the field on both starts in November and December, he will be eligible for a handicap mark after this. Donny's Fortune will go to post for the maiden hurdle over two miles and three furlongs at 1.0.pm, where he will be partnered by Josh Thompson for the first time.
At Newcastle, Dundory has his third start for us since arriving at the yard back in October. He is yet to beat a rival in either start, but his seven and a quarter length last of nine last time was a big improvement after he tailed off on stable debut. Dundory runs at 3.30.pm, in the 0-68 handicap, of one mile and two furlongs, with Aiden Brookes retaining the ride.
