The going for Redcar on Monday is currently described as soft, Heavy in places, and there is standing water in places.
Irv who is our representative, came back to form with a vengeance on the all weather at Wolverhampton 34 days ago, when keeping on well for a decisive three and a quarter lengths success, for which he has been raised 6lb. Irv who has finished runner up on two previous visits to Redcar, has rarely en counted a soft surface over the course of his 49 race career to date, but on the odd occasion he has, he has appeared to cope with it.
Irv runs in the last at 5.10.pm, in the 0-60 apprentice handicap, over 10 furlongs, with his regular jockey Aiden Brookes taking the ride.
