We have one runner at Fakenham on Easter Monday, where the going is currently described as good, and they are watering.
Funny things horses. Milajess had been running more than creditably when finishing runner up on three consecutive occasions, and then at Sedgefield 18 days ago, at the 25th attempt, she finally gets off the mark by winning an uncontested five and a half lengths, making the game look easy. I shall put it down to the application of blinkers that she was wearing for the second time, as she was beaten by another inform mare on her penultimate start with 12 lengths back to the third, when she first wore them. The handicapper has shown no mercy, raising her by 9lb to 88, although it must be remembered that two years ago she was rated 100.
Milajess runs at 3.23.pm, in the 0-100 mares only handicap hurdle, over two miles, with her regular rider Josh Thompson in the saddle.
