Congratulations to all of the connections of Knocknamona who have had to be very patient, but finally everything was in the horses favour on Friday afternoon. Knocknamona was winning for the seventh time, and for the second time in the race which he also won back in 2017, under the exact same conditions, namely Bangor racecourse, the extended two and a half miles, heavy ground, and a tremendous ride from Alain Cawley.
Knocknamona had dropped to a mark of 85 mainly because he failed to win last season, which was due in part to him having his season curtailed by the lock down, he is now in the position to make up for lost time, but will need a short break after his heroic excursions on Friday.
Congratulations to the Rat Pack Racing Club.
