It is John Smiths day at York on Saturday, where the going at the time of writing is good to soft.
King Of Unicorns who was a bumper winner back in 2021, and then went on to show above average ability over a mile a couple of seasons ago, has been lightly raced since then because of injury, and it was at Carlisle 26 days ago that he returned from almost a year off the track, to only give best from two out when understandably getting tired on his return.
King Of Unicorns now steps up to two miles on the flat for the first time in his career, when he goes to post for the 0-80 handicap, at 4.50.pm, where he will be partnered by Rowan Scott for the first time.
