IT WOULD HAVE BEEN REDCAR - BUT IT'S CHELMSFORD INSTEAD.

Due to all the recent rain, Redcar have had to abandon their final meeting of 2023, and it has been transferred to the Polytrack at Chelmsford.

Both of our runners, on a rare visit to Chelmsford, are making their stable debuts.

Arranmore is first up at 2.40.pm, in the 0-70 handicap, over seven furlongs, with Aiden Brookes taking the ride. Arranmore was only beaten half a length at Pontefract back in August from 1lb higher than now, and will carry top weight in this handicap. He has not run on the all weather since 2020, when finishing third at Lingfield, and he has also run well twice at Chelmsford, from higher marks than now. Arranmore is a six year old who has run with consistency for the majority of this season.

Art Of Romance is the other new face. He is a three year old who has raced on five previous occasions to date, since making his debut back in April, where he showed great promise to finish second at Newmarket. Although he hasn't progressed since then, his form, and his mark of 66, suggest that this drop in to selling company should see him hold every chance. He faces just four rivals at 3.15.pm, in the one mile selling stakes, with Aiden Brookes in the saddle.

Good luck to the connections, Anthony Bithell, and Kevin Jardine.
