FIVE RUNNERS ON FRIDAY.

We send four up to Musselburgh, where the going is currently good, good to firm in places, and one to Thirsk, where the ground is currently described as good to soft, good in places.

At Musselburgh, Myboymax is first up at 3.20.pm, in the 0-65 handicap, over 14 furlongs at 3.20.pm, with Aiden Brookes who has won on him on five previous occasions, once again in the saddle. Myboymax who is now 8lb below his last winning mark, was a staying on fifth in first time cheek pieces last time at this track over a furlong and a half shorter, and this trip will play to his strengths.

Carnival Zain who has just been failing to get involved at the business end in his six starts this season, in Class 2, and Class 3 events, will find this drop in class to Class 4 company much more agreeable, and he is now 2lb below his last winning mark which augurs well. He goes to post for the £20,000 0-85 handicap at 3.50.pm, over seven furlongs, with Aiden Brookes, who has won on him previously, taking the ride.

Sparkle In His Eye rarely runs below his best, hence the handicapper knowing where he stands with him. On his penultimate start over this course and distance in June he went down by three parts of a length from this same mark. He runs at 4.20.pm, in the 0-65 handicap, over seven furlongs, with Aiden Brookes, who has won on him on four previous occasions, retaining the ride.

Irv ran his best race so far this season at Nottingham last time when going down by a head, and he will once again run from the same mark. This trip of nine furlongs is a furlong less than at Nottingham, so he will probably appreciate a fast run race here. Irv runs at 4.53.pm, in the 0-60 handicap, with Aiden Brookes who has been placed on him on three previous occasions, back in the saddle.

At Thirsk, Milltown Lily runs at 5.10.pm, in the 0-55 handicap over 12 furlongs, with Ben Curtis riding her for the first time. Milltown Lily has run with credit on all four of her starts since returning from her winter break, and a repeat will see her in the frame again. She appears to need this trip nowadays, and the going will not be a problem.
