We will have two runners on the Tapeta at Newcastle on Saturday evening.
Elladora has been a credit to her previous trainer, having won four of her 40 starts, and being placed in a further 12, which is an excellent strike rate for a handicapper who has never been rated above 68. Elladora possesses a lot of early speed, and often leads the field in her races, and she will strip fresh for this, having not run since September. She runs at 6.30.pm, in the 0-70 handicap, over what looks her optimum trip of six furlongs, with our stable jockey Aiden Brookes taking the ride.
Ring Fenced is our other representative, who goes to post for the 7.30.pm, for the 0-62 handicap, over seven furlongs, with Aiden Brookes, who has ridden her on all of her seven previous runs for us retaining the ride. Ring Fenced ran her best race since joining the yard on her penultimate start at Southwell in January when finishing third, but then she took a backward step at Newcastle 26 days ago. She now steps down to seven furlongs for the first time.
