We have two declared runners at Wetherby on Wednesday, where the going is currently being called soft.
Mandega is first up at 1.15.pm, in the two miles juvenile maiden hurdle, with Emma Smith-Chaston taking the ride. Mandega did win over 10 furlongs on the flat in his native France back in March, so he should see out the two miles over jumps. He hasn't been beaten far on any of his four flat starts for us, and was fourth on his hurdles debut last time out at Sedgefield.
Duo D'Enfer is another ex French recruit who won two hurdles races and two chases in his native France. He made his stable and British debut at Wetherby 25 days ago, when weakening from four out over the extended two miles and three furlongs, but that was his first start since April. He now steps significantly up in trip to three miles for the first time, when he goes to post at 1.50.pm, for the 0-120 handicap chase, with Emma Smith-Chaston retaining the ride.
