We have two runners on Saturday, one over the jumps, and one on the flat.
At Wetherby, the field sizes have been decimated because of the lack of recent rain, and there are only 34 declared runners over the seven race card, which will be run on ground currently described as good. Coup De Coeur will make his return to action at 2.45.pm, where he will face five rivals in the 0-140 handicap, over two miles, with Brian Hughes, who won on him twice last season, taking the ride. Coup De Coeur hasn't been seen since April and so is entitled to need this, he has also never shown his best form without soft in the description.
At Wolverhampton in the evening on the all weather, Arranmore is our representative at 8.30.pm, in the 0-68 handicap, over 12 furlongs, with his regular rider Aiden Brookes in the saddle. At seven years old Arranmore probably needs longer trips to bring out the best in him, and that appeared to be the case at Southwell last time, when stepping up to 12 furlongs for the first time, he appeared to see it out well, only going down by a length and a half in fourth. He also wore the hood and tongue tie combination for the first time, which is retained here.
