We have one runner on Friday on the first of the two day 'Charlie Hall' meeting at Wetherby, where the going is currently described as soft, with the expectation of more rain to come.
Carrigeen Castle who is a lightly raced seven year old, was a recent purchase from Ireland, where he won one of his four point to point starts, he has also had six runs over hurdles.
He was a winner of a point to point in Ireland back in February, and was last seen when finishing fourth in better company, also in a point in April. He starts out for us in the 12.40.pm, in a 0-110 novices handicap hurdle, over two miles and five furlongs, with the champion jockey Brian Hughes in the saddle, from a mark of 100.
