The rude health of the yard showed no signs of abating at Wetherby on Tuesday afternoon, where Shighness possibly put up a new personal best to finish second, Fainche was a gallant third, and Carrigeen Castle gave us our third winner in the last five days.
Carrigeen Castle is now the winner of three of his last four starts, and this rapidly improving eight year old, who jumped well throughout, breezed clear from three out to win by an easy 11 lengths, in the hands of the champion jockey Brian Hughes, who rode all three of our representatives today.
Carrigeen Castle is set for another hike in the weights, but in this mood it will take a very well handicapped one from stopping him.
