CAN HIGH NOON GET BACK TO THE GOOD OLD DAYS?

We send a team of four down to Market Rasen on Friday, where the going at the time of writing is good, and they are watering to maintain.

Rory And Me ran a seasonal best over this course and distance 18 days ago when keeping on in to fourth, beaten just two and a quarter lengths. He races again from the same mark, on ground he needs, so he shouldn't be too far away in second time cheek pieces. He runs at 2.20.pm, in the 0-100 extended two miles and four furlongs handicap hurdle, with Conor O'Farrell retaining the ride.

High Noon returned from nearly 11 months off the track when finishing a 23 lengths third over this course and distance 18 days ago, in a race that he was entitled to need. Since arriving at the yard back in 2019 High Noon has been a regular at Market Rasen, having now won there twice, and being placed on a further six occasions. He now races from an all time low mark of 85, so if at 11 years old he still retains the majority of his old ability, he shouldn't be too far away. He runs at 3.50.pm, in the 0-105 handicap chase, over two miles and three furlongs. with Conor O'Farrell retaining the ride.

Royle Steel will make his chase debut at 4.20.pm, in the 0-100 handicap chase, over two miles and one furlong, with Conor O'Farrell retaining the ride. Royle Steel was a good third on his seasonal debut at Catterick back in February from 10lb higher mark than now, but he has disappointed in all three subsequent starts, so we shall now find out if fences will be the making of him. He has schooled well at home, and has the ground he needs.

Belle Na Bann with have the assistance of the champion jockey Brian Hughes in the saddle when she goes to post for the 0-100 handicap hurdle, over the extended two miles at 4.50.pm. Belle Na Bann's first three efforts since arriving at the yard last November provided form figures of '422,' but her last two starts have been below par, so she needs to get back on track here, from a reduced mark of 80.
