BUNKER BAY ENJOYING BEING BACK ON THE LEVEL.

enquiries0700

We have two runners at Wolverhampton on Thursday, where the Tapeta surface is currently riding as standard.

Bunker Bay was bought as a dual purpose horse, but has struggled to get competitive in five goes over hurdles, so it was refreshing to see him go so well on the flat eight days ago, when finishing fourth of the eight runners, beaten by only two and a half lengths. He was a winner on the flat for his previous yard in July 2023 from 2lb higher than now, and to eek out that little extra, he will wear first time cheek pieces. Bunker Bay runs at 3.20.pm, in the 0-70 handicap, over 12 furlongs, with Aiden Brookes, once again in the saddle.

Evoluir overcame a shocking draw at Wolverhampton to win over seven furlongs in February, from effectively 4lb lower than now. His two subsequent runs in a slightly higher grade have once again seen him suffer from his habitual habit of starting slowly, but finishing well, so this step up in trip to the extended mile for the first time should help. Evoluir runs at 5.35.pm, in the 0-52 handicap, with Aiden Brookes who has ridden him on all nine previous starts for us retaining the ride.
