BONNE VITESSE RETURNS TO THE FLAT.

We send two to Catterick on Friday evening where the going at the time of writing is good to soft, soft in places.

Bonne Vitesse has raced on four occasions over hurdles since joining us last autumn, and has not disappointed in winning twice, and earning a BHA mark of 112. Her best run on the flat when trained elsewhere was when finishing runner up to her future stablemate Dragons Will Rise in June of last year over 10 furlongs at Pontefract. On what she has shown for us her mark of 64 looks a good one, but this trip of nearly one mile and six furlongs is an unknown. The race is a 0-65 handicap at 6.28.pm, with Paul Mulrennan taking the ride.

Our other runner is Jungle Inthebungle at 7.38.pm, who takes his chance in the 0-60 claiming stakes over seven furlongs with Aiden Brookes retaining the ride. As a two year old back in 2018 Jungle Inthebungle was a quality performer winning the Brian Yeardley trophy at Beverley, and although those days are long gone he still showed enough at Catterick last time to suggest we might get a race out of him. This step up to seven furlongs will be in his favour, but at the weights he will need a couple of these to falter if he is to get his head in front.
