The softer surface, and the extreme distance, once again brought out the best in Bonne Vitesse, who despite hanging to the left two out, and then hanging right inside the final furlong, still had enough to see off her rivals, for a two and a half lengths success, under her regular jockey Aiden Brookes at Carlisle on Friday afternoon. When she runs again under similar conditions, it will be worth keeping her in mind.
