We have one runner at Hexham on Saturday, where it is currently heavy, soft in places on the chase course, and soft on the hurdles track.
Bandit D'Ainay clearly failed to see out the two and a half miles at Perth when last seen 17 days ago, and he will appreciate this step down in distance. Bandit D'Ainay who is fast approaching his 13th birthday was a winner on four occasions over fences in his native France in his younger days, all on a softer surface, so conditions here will hold no fears. Since racing for us he has hit the frame on three occasions, including his memorable gallant second to his stablemate Roxyfet, in April of last year. Bandit D'Ainay runs at 4.30.pm, in the 0-100 handicap chase, over the extended one mile and seven furlongs, with the champion jockey Brian Hughes retaining the ride.
