A rare visit to Fakenham paid off in fine style, with Ballylinch virtually making all over three miles, with the champion jockey Brian Hughes in the saddle.
Ballylinch was winning for the second time this season, having also won under Brian Hughes, from the same mark back in October of last year at Sedgefield. Ballylinch who has previously ran best in soft or heavy conditions, can now add good to soft to that list, which augurs well for a spring campaign.
