We have one runner at Southwell on Thursday, where he going at the time of writing is good, good to firm in places.
Ambassador was a seven and a half lengths winner at Uttoxeter back in July, for which the handicapper took no chances by raising him by 7lb, to his highest rating yet for us of 107. At Stratford on his latest start 26 days ago he finished eighth after leading for the majority of the race, as always giving of his best. He has since been eased 1lb, and will have conditions in his favour here.
The race is a 0-110 handicap hurdle, at 4.40.pm, over the extended one mile and seven furlongs, with his regular rider Josh Thompson in the saddle.
