A RARE TRIP TO EPSOM.

We have two runners on Wednesday, with Final Chant making the short trip to Thirsk, where the going is currently good to firm, good in places, and Cedar Rapids making the slightly longer trip down to Epsom, where the going is currently described as good, good to firm in places.

Final Chant will have his fifth lifetime start, and his third as a three year old, when going to post for the 4.15.pm, in a one mile novices stakes, with James Sullivan on board for the first time. Final Chant is yet to get competitive, including in a handicap last time out, and if he fails to make any show again, then he will be given a break, in order for him to fill out his frame a little more, before returning later in the year.

The ex Irish Cedar Rapids has his fourth start for us since arriving at the yard in the spring. Cedar Rapids made an encouraging stable debut at Ripon in May, when finishing a close up fourth, but he has disappointed on both occasions since. He is now down to a career low mark of 59, but there remains a question mark over his stamina at this trip. He runs at 9.0.pm, in the 0-60 handicap, over the full Derby distance of 12 furlongs, with Tom Marquand taking the ride.

Good luck to the connections, The Munro'S, and Barran & Hogg.
