We have two declared runners for Mussleburgh on Friday, but due to parts of the ground being frozen, there has been a precautionary inspection called for at 8.0.am. The official going is currently good to soft, soft in places.
Onenightintown was in the form of his life last season, notably when winning at Catterick in February from the same mark as now, but he has failed to fire in any of his last five starts, including all three starts this season. He now steps up in trip, which judging on recent runs is well worth a try. Onenightintown runs at 12.27.pm, in the 0-100 conditional jockeys handicap chase, over the extended two miles and seven furlongs, with Alice Stevens retaining the ride.
Milajess is a consistent mare who gives of her best more often than not, but is in the grip of the handicapper, and the chances are that if she could carry a few pounds less she would get her head in front. All the same there is a lot to be said for consistency, and one day a race could well fall her way. Millajess goes to post for the 0-100 handicap hurdle, at 2.27.pm, over the extended one mile and seven furlongs, with her regular rider Josh Thompson in the saddle.
