Maybe The Last Time

NEW LOOK FOR 2016!!!

Maybe The Last Time is our flagship racing club! Their distinctive blue and yellow colours were carried to victory during 2015 by popular grey Danceintothelight and Politbureau (above), who won twice on the Flat and once over jumps!

Club members will have runners all year round both on the Flat and over jumps and if you’ve ever wished that you could get involved in racehorse ownership but the cost stopped you from doing it, then think again – ongoing membership of Maybe The Last Time costs just £80 per month, that’s just £20 per week, and that’s all inclusive, there’s nothing else to pay, and we’ll do everything we can to give you an experience to remember as part of one of the friendliest, most committed teams in racing here in the heart of the beautful Yorkshire Dales!

As a member, you’ll receive the following benefits:

id=131804070418090418&size=300&type=&builder=true&part=* An owner’s badge whenever one of your horses runs, giving you access to owners and trainers facilities for the entire day (if oversubscribed this may be on a rotational basis but it doesn’t happen very often!)

* Join us in the parade ring before and after your horses run – talk to the trainer, the jockey and be the first to get the post-race reactions!

* Stable visits

* A chance to see your horses exercising on the gallops

* Regular email updates

* A dedicated Facebook page

The Maybe The Last Time horses

Inchcolm, a five year old son of Presenting, comes to us from the Irish point to point scene, a tried and trusted source of jumps winners, he ran five times, finishing a close second at Stradbally when sent off favourite on his final start in May.

Inchcolm cost £17,000 at the 2015 Doncaster sales and his dam Rose Of Inchiquin, a Grade 2 winner over hurdles, has also produced high class chasers Panther Claw, who finished third in the 2013 Thyestes Chase, and Empire Of Dirt, a Grade 2 winner in his first season over fences.

Our boy has had three runs in maiden and novice hurdles and will now be going handicapping off a mark of 89, he’ll be stepping up in trip and whatever he does over hurdles will be a bonus as he’s going to make a lovely chaser in time and Maybe The Last Time members will be able to follow his career over fences right from the start. He’s the most beautiful looking gelding and we’re quite excited about him!

Rhythm Of Sound

The third member of the Maybes squad is six year old ex Irish pointer Rhythm Of Sound (below), a son of Mahler who cost £5,000 at the Newmarket sales late in 2015 and had his first run for us in a 2m4f novices’ hurdle at Catterick in January, shaping quite well. He’ll stay further and we’ll get some more experience into him before he goes novice chasing next season, he also gave young Billy Garritty a great ride round Wetherby in February.

A lightly raced six year old, Shalamzar was bred by the Aga Khan’s studs and started out in France with Mikel Delzangles, he ran in a Group 2 at Saint-Cloud as a three year old before spending the past two years mixing Flat racing and hurdling with Tony Martin in Ireland.

He’s a three time Flat winner, having landed a valuable nine furlong handicap at Listowel in September 2014 and he won really impressively for us at Haydock under a superbly judged hold up ride earlier this year. He’s unexposed in handicap hurdles, he’s going to be a dual purpose horse, hopefully running all year round, and he’ll win more races for his owners!
